Aiken County deputies hunted for nearly three hours Saturday for a man wanted on a kidnapping warrant from Lexington. Darrell Jerom Hill, 82, of Batesburg, was found under a bed at a mobile home after a chase and is jailed in Aiken with Lexington County hold pending charges.

Stolen TV Reported In Aiken Amid Gas Drive-Offs
A 82nd screen television valued at 1200 dollars was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Jessica Street Aiken after the resident returned from travel since June 9. Multiple gas drive offs were reported in Aiken County including a 20 dollar pump on Columbia Highway a driver leaving after talking on a cell phone. A North Augusta incident involved a black SUV pumping 23 dollars then driving away. An Edgefield Highway gas station saw another drive off and a Jefferson Davis Highway North Augusta case involved 11 dollars with the driver claiming no money to pay.
