Fire threatens Belvedere in five hour brush blaze
A large wooded area behind Kershaw Street in Belvedere burned for more than five hours in a suspicious blaze. About 70 firefighters and rescue workers from multiple agencies battled the 20 acre fire near homes. Two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion. no serious injuries reported. Fire officials expect hot spots to smolder for days as a double fire break was created to protect ten homes.
