The nation’s worst flood in 44 years has raised the death toll to 208 near Rapid City South Dakota. Civil Defense reports about 500 missing, with injuries uncounted, and more than 3000 left homeless as damage tops 100 million dollars.
In Tripoli on the two year anniversary of Wheelus Base evacuation Col Muammar Kadafi accused the United States and Britain of backing the Irish Republican Army and African Americans. He said they will pay dearly for their wrongs and perfidy. Ambassadors from the two nations walked out during the speech.

Brannon accuses Laughlin of poor attendance and vows better representation.

City officials urge property owners to sign an advisory referendum on a $2.5 million bond package covering storm drainage, a public safety building, a public works facility, and a recreation center.
