Portland group pushes barrier on infamous Vista Bridge
In Portland Oregon the Friends of The Vista Bridge press the city to install suicide prevention barriers on the Vista Bridge known as death by own action Bridge. They cite multiple recent deaths including a 19 year old woman, a 40 year old man and a 15 year old girl. They argue barriers provide a pause to deter impulsive jumps.
