Duke and Progress Energy win FERC merger hurdle
After a year of wrangling over competition the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission approves the Duke Energy Progress Energy merger with conditions. Upgrades must be completed by June 2015 and not charged to wholesale customers. The companies will decide within 15 days to accept and proceed.
