Evacuation continues after toxic fire at Great Falls mill
In Great Falls, North Carolina, about 1,000 residentsremain unable to return four days after a Tuesday fire at the former JP Stevens mill spread toxic smoke. Firefighters fought the blaze for hours before it burned out, while helicopters drop water and foam. Air quality tests show pollution. a state of emergency was declared by Gov. Sanford to aid reimbursement for firefighting and evacuation costs.
