Trustees To Present Tax Case To Legislators

Aiken County Board of Education seeks a tax hike and will hold a Friday morning meeting with the county legislative delegation in the Aiken County Council chambers at 10 20 a m Rep Thomas E Huff and three other House members will hear the case. Delegation members oppose broad tax hikes though Sen Greg Ryberg supports local school tax increases with exemptions. Sen Ryberg addressed Sunrise Rotary claiming lack of local commitment to school needs and said he aims to chair the delegation.
