Graniteville theft leads to prison for local man

West Columbia man Will Leon Griffin was found guilty of breaking into a Graniteville Company parking lot car and larceny. He received four years reduced to 30 months plus five years probation. The judge postponed two trials to July 9 and ordered additional probation revocations for several offenders.

Delegation Office Site Still Undecided in Aiken County

The Aiken County Council has not approved a location for the legislative delegation office. At the meeting Rep Thomas L. Moore urged using the old Registrar of Mesne Conveyance quarters at the courthouse while a May 15 resolution set the magistrate office as the delegation site.
