Aiken's City Council meets Monday at 7 30 p m to hear a request for annexation of pore at Pine Log and Silver Bluff Roads. Officials will review bids and conduct second readings on ordinances, including the 1985 86 budget and millage at 112 mills, sewer fee hikes, and higher water sewer tap and outside fire service charges.
An early morning fire at 1228 Morning side Drive heavily damaged a Rosa Med lock trailer. No one was home. Darrell Sherock had left for work. Firefighters fought the blaze about an hour. the cause is under investigation with no suspicions reported.
Rain moves in with a 30 percent chance tonight and tomorrow, dropping temperatures a few degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy with lows in the low 70s, and tomorrow partly cloudy with highs near 90.
