Aiken man dies from officer involved shooting injuries
Gregory W. Hallback, 44, of Aiken, died from a gunshot wound sustained after deputies confronted him Wednesday evening on Old Country Road near Good Springs Road. Deputies fired multiple rounds, took him to area hospital, and autopsy set for Thursday. Three deputies placed on administrative leave as SLED investigates. incident marks 21st SC officer involved shooting this year.

New Holland to Receive $60,000 Rural Infrastructure Grant
New Holland in northern Aiken County is set to receive a $60,000 grant from the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority for painting a water storage tank.
