Mother questions cause after teen wreck at AGY plant gate
Janet Wertz says her 17 year old son William Wertz may have had a seizure or blacked out before his 2011 Jeep Wrangler struck a Honda and crashed through the AGY plant gate. Troopers say no injuries occurred and both drivers wore seat belts. The mother questions the police report and the charge filed, stating her son has no recollection of the crash.

SRS considers graphite digestion project at H Canyon
A potential DOE graphite digestion system for spent nuclear fuel at Savannah River Site in H Canyon could be funded through a 1.5 million Work for Others pact signed in December 2012 with Germany's managing entity. SRS advisory groups oppose new fuel shipments and urge Germany to follow best practices for its own radioactive waste. Derrek Asberry, Aiken Standard reporter, covers the debate.
