Resignation of Rev Graves L Knight at Anderson College

Rev Graves L Knight resigns as dean of Anderson College effective July 1 1925 after three years in the post. He plans a period of rest and will not announce future plans for some time. Knight formerly pastored Millbrook Baptist church and is well regarded in Aiken and surrounding areas.

Automobile License Refunds Available After July First

County Treasurer J. D. Woodward announced refunds of automobile fees from the State Highway Commission cannot be paid until after July 1 due to extensive detailing. About 2,500 refunds must be processed with checks issued and records kept. After July 1, refunds are available by visiting the Treasurer's office.

Diploma Day At Aiken Institute At Opera House

The Aiken Institute awarded diplomas to graduates at the Opera House. Salutatorians Florence Schroder and Linase Carswell shared top honors, with Eulalie Salley delivering the valedictory and Cecil H. Seigler as main speaker. The ceremony included music numbers, an annual report by Supt. W. J. McGarity, and an honor roll listing 565 pupils, 270 boys and 289 girls.

Certificates of Merit Awarded for South Carolina Agriculture

Clemson College trustees awarded two certificates of merit for distinguished service to South Carolina agriculture. Convers B. Woolsey of Aiken and Fred H. Young of Vinemansville received the honors at Clemson during the commencement. Woolsey was honored for breeding Woolsey's Cleveland cattle and introducing Polled Hereford strains, plus numerous premiums. Young earned his for owning the world’s record Jersey cow Sensation’s Mikal Millie and for his work as a purebred breeder. Both were present at Clemson Tuesday to receive the honors.

Civic Choral Club of Aiken Presents June Concert

Windsor school site chosen for Augusta district

Plans move on for a handsome tile and stucco high school at Langley by the Tower Construction Co. Superintendent Cecil H.
