Edgefield man drowns after fishing accident
Johnnie Moore, 73, of Edgefield, died Tuesday after his boat capsized while fishing near Rainsford Road in Edgefield County. A South Carolina DNR dive crew found his body just after 6 p.m. The coroner said an autopsy is planned for Wednesday.

Suspect shot after pulling gun on Aiken deputies
Aiken County deputies shot the suspect after he reportedly pulled two pistols on them during a domestic disturbance on Old Country Road near Good Springs Road. The white male, possibly in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital. deputies were not injured. Three deputies were placed on administrative leave as the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigates.

Prosecutor to review police shooting of S C teen
A South Carolina prosecutor says the investigation into the shooting death of 17 year old Joshuna Ruffin by a Columbia police officer is complete and he will review evidence to decide whether charges will be filed. The incident followed protests after George Floyd’s death and began near cars broken into. The officer fired during a 20 second chase after Ruffin pulled a gun. a gun and switch blade were found nearby. Body camera footage will be released after the review is finished.
