Floods flood southwest Aiken County wash out roads and disrupt plant
Heavy rain flooded southwest Aiken County causing road washouts and disrupting operations at a major manufacturing plant. DOT official Bobby Usry described overwhelmed drainage and ongoing repairs on North Augusta area roads with closures and partial reopenings. Crews from DOT and SC Gas & Electric addressed damaged lines as work began Tuesday.

Stunned Augusta woman tied up in Langley wreck
Police used a Taser to subdue Sherese Ann Taylor 29 after a Saturday crash on US 1 in Langley. Taylor and Dumont Antwain Jessie 27, both detained on charges including dui assault and child endangerment. Jessie resisted arrest while Taylor, impaired, failed to cooperate. Detained at Aiken County jail.

MOX Workers Warned of Possible Layoffs Over Budget
