Transplant Survivors Celebrate Life in Augusta Picnic
Several Georgia transplant recipients gathered at Hackett's Augusta home for a weekend picnic to remember former patients and celebrate living with heart transplants. Seven of 38 patients remain alive, including Jim King of Belvedere and Leah, adopted by a transplant recipient couple, with stories of ongoing medical and emotional adjustments.
