Moody retires from SRS after 36 years with DOE
Dave Moody, longtime DoE veteran and founder of Enterprise SRS, plans to retire this month after four years with Savannah River Site and 36 years with the Department of Energy. He grew up in Florence, South Carolina, and started in road construction and carpentry before college. Moody envisions SRS as a springboard for recovering the nuclear industry and plans to stay engaged with the site.

Seigler siblings grow farm to table venture in Anderson county
Seigler's Farm Gate Produce opened in April on Anderson Pond Road. Cathy Bland and Scott Seigler sell squash zucchini red potatoes bell peppers and large cabbages from their stand. They network with other farmers for peaches asparagus and strawberries and report strong customer turnout with eight to nine cars at times. Wyman Seigler praises his children's initiative and others’ interest in local food.

Family and friends bid farewell to Kyrie Henry
Hundreds attended a funeral for Kyrie Henry a 4 year old Greendale Elementary student killed in a school bus crash. The service at New Beginnings Ministries featured a eulogy by Bishop Hezikiah Pressley Jr and words from Becca White and Dana Stevens. Local officials and educators included Superintendent Dr Beth Everitt School Board member Levi Green and three state lawmakers. The community praised Kyries joyful spirit and lasting memory.
