Citizens Park in Aiken hosts Dixie World Series and National Softball Super B events bringing thousands from outside town. In 1996 6400 attendees used gates. 298 teams, 207 from beyond Aiken, spent $556,191 directly. Park’s 1996 97 budget was $519,930, with tournaments boosting local commerce.
