Actor Benson Resigns From USC Teaching Job
Columbia Actor Bobby Benson will not return to his University of South Carolina teaching post following President James Holderman’s resignation. He and wife Karla DeVito plan to move to Los Angeles later this month, saying they loved USC but left after Holderman quit. Benson taught filmmaking as artist in residence and finished Modern Love, a contract tied to 2 percent of profits, with $158,367 received over two years.
