Saluda woman charged in Aiken restaurant credit card fraud
Brandy Skinner a 39 year old Saluda woman was charged after allegedly adding extra tips to customer bills at a Aiken restaurant. Police report receipts from June 28 July 12 and July 19 show Skinner as the employee and adding 1 2 5 and 10 tip amounts. Skinner told officers she did not intend to alter bills and suspected management staff of a personal vendetta. She was released from the Aiken County detention center.

SUV Crashes Into Cameron Cove Apartments After Medical Episode
No injuries reported as a driver’s SUV struck the Cameron Cove Apartments on Five Notch Road North Augusta. The vehicle crossed a fence and toppled a retaining wall before resting on an apartment building at 10 p.m. Wednesday. Responders worked about three hours to remove the vehicle. Residents were not evacuated but the building will be inspected. It is unclear if charges will be filed.

Cobb couple to share walk across America in Aiken
Jonathan and Jennifer Cobb will speak at Talatha Baptist Church on Sunday at 11 a.m. about their 4000 mile Walk Across America to honor their late daughter Julia who died of cancer in 2013. Lateefah Williams, 21, of Wagener, was identified as the woman found dead after a stabbing linked to a Batesburg-Leesville incident. Malcolm Williams, 24, was arrested for questioning. investigators say the stabbing occurred in Batesburg-Leesville and the body driven to Orangeburg County.
