An 18 year old Aiken woman Taqueisha S Keitt is in custody charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and attempted armed robbery. Detectives seek three other suspects after a botched taxi robbery early Thursday when shots were fired as the cab fled. The driver received a pickup request near Eustis Park and faced four suspects at the scene.

An Aiken County magistrate ruled that South Carolina law barring 18 to 20 year olds from possessing alcohol is unconstitutional but not to change state policy. The decision in the Gottlieb case held possession or consumption not prohibited by the constitution, while purchasing remains restricted. The ruling applies only to this case and does not alter existing statutes or binding law.
