Williston woman charged after leaving baby in car
A 24 year old, Alexis Alichia Trottie of Allendale Avenue, was detained in Aiken County after leaving her 6 month old in a car in a Ross Dress For Less parking lot. The baby, unbuckled in a rear facing seat, was found by a witness. Trottie faces unlawful conduct toward a child. the child was placed with the Department of Social Services.

Jefferson Elementary Secures Grants for iPads and Apple TV Tech

Woods bridge repairs and new structure begin at Barton's Pond
Construction on Barton's Pond Bridge over Sand River and a new bridge on Swampy Cut Path over Cuthbert Branch start today in Hitchcock Woods. Repairs address degraded decking and rails while the new frame bridge will have enhanced pedestrian and carriage protection. Works last about two months with temporary traffic disruption.
