People's Community Capital Corp the bank holding company for People's Community Bank of South Carolina in Aiken reported for the quarter ended June 30 2003 net income of 296 494 or 0 27 per share up from 249 150 or 0 23 in 2002 a 19 percent gain For the six months ended June 30 2003 net income was 528 672 or 0 48 per share versus 442 443 or 0 40 in 2002 a 20 percent rise Total assets reached 109 million up 7 percent from year end 2002 and 15 percent from June 30 2002 Loans grew to 62 million up 4 percent from year end and 12 percent from June 30 2002 Deposits stood at 94 million up 8 percent from December 31 2002 and 17 percent from last year’s quarter Non performing loans totaled 1 861 at June 30 2003 versus 511 707 a year earlier The company’s stock trades on the OTC Bulletin Board under PPLM with three offices in Aiken and North Augusta South Carolina.
