Aiken man steals truck before fatal crash
An Aiken man stole a pickup on Colleton Avenue then crashed on Bethcar Church Road at about 4 30 p m. David Jerome Williams 51 died from multiple body trauma not wearing a seat belt. Toxicology pending. Coroner and highway patrol investigate.

Bond Denied for North Augusta Man in Attempted Murder Case
Aiken County judge refused bond for 24 year old Alan Michael Bargeron of Hayes Drive in connection with a Gran iteville area shooting in April. He faces charges of attempted murder first degree burglary discharging a firearm into a dwelling and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. A 20 year old victim was wounded in the leg non life threateningly after a knock at Shotgun Lane home. Bargeron was arrested April 15 after a witness identified him from a Facebook photo.
