The Seeds of Hope event collected school supplies and hygiene items, plus donations for Golden Harvest Food Bank. Organizers cited strong turnout and expanding needs beyond initial schools. Cooper Scruggs noted the backpack program costs and church support, with $160 to sponsor a child and $6,400 per school, underlining funding gaps due to state budget cuts.
