Road rage incident ends with driver run over by own truck
In Gainesville Florida 48 year old Joseph Carl was drinking and confronted a woman at a red light after exiting his pickup without setting the brake. The truck rolled into him injuring his hand and foot. He was hospitalized and charged with DUI and DUI property damage.

Rare summer lightning injures fourteen in Southern California
A rare summer thunderstorm swept Southern California injuring fourteen people, two critically. Thirteen were treated at Venice Beach and a 57 year old man on Catalina Island was hospitalized in stable condition. Lifeguards performed CPR on a swimmer pulled from the water. Authorities said most injuries were minor, with two in critical condition.
