Target Retailer Sets Dates for Aiken Job Fair
Target Stores will begin taking applications for about 130 jobs at its Aiken outlet with job fairs August 10 through 12 at the Hampton Inn on Whiskey Road. Fair hours run 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. first two days and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the final day. The store near completion hopes to open in early October to capitalize on Christmas sales. Employee benefits include health coverage after a year, pharmacy discounts, travel discounts, child care resources, and emergency aid. The company highlights its Fast Fun and Friendly environment and awards for executive women.

Church member sentenced for wiretapping telephone
Toby Arnell Marks 28 received six months probation and a $1000 fine after pleading guilty to wiretapping his former pastor's telephone at a federal hearing.
