Edgefield man gets 25 years after audio of abuse surfaced
A 65-year-old man in Edgefield County South Carolina pleaded guilty to first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after an 11 year old used a tablet to record him abusing a 6 year old. Solicitor Rick Hubbard said the family acquaintance was alone with the girls during the incident. The case relied on the audio recording and Heard had prior conviction in Alabama in 1990.

North Augusta man charged in Edgefield Road robbery case
Steven McCary, 51, of North Augusta, faces several charges including failure to stop for blue lights, driving under suspension, grand larceny and breaking into motor vehicles after a July 16 robbery on Edgefield Road. Police say he fled a traffic stop with deputies and items stolen from the victim were found later. he was jailed at the Aiken County detention center.

A Wagener man and others reported thefts on Air port Road Colbert Bridge Road and Stillwater Road. A white 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was found 30 miles away. Suspects tied to third degree assault larceny and vehicle tag theft remain under investigation. Additional incidents include shattered doors damaged fence and stolen debit cards and firearms with various residences and streets named throughout Aiken County.
