Juan Antonio Alvarado Morales and three companions crossed the Rio Grande in blistering heat, drinking murky water from a pond and a livestock tank. He collapsed with dehydration and kidney failure near Highway 3, rescued by a border agent and Mexican consulate steps to return home. Noel and others who aided him were detained and deported.
