Work begins on EMS Station 6
Ground has been broken at the site for EMS Station 6 on Columbia Highway North. Assistant County Administrator Brian Sanders said the foundation is being laid and water and sewer connections are in progress as construction starts on the 2,650-square-foot building. The wood framed brick and hardiplank structure will include two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen area and day room with two truck bays. Continental Construction Co. of Georgia is the contractor.
