SC Couple Sentenced 30 Years for Child Neglect
Molly and Scott McCurry of Lyman were sentenced to 30 years each after being found guilty of three counts of child abuse and unlawful conduct toward a child. Police found three adopted sons severely malnourished, ages 5, 7 and 8, weighing 19 to 39 pounds each. The boys were taken into protective custody and neighbors said the children were rarely seen. The 10-year-old daughter was not malnourished.
