Dolly Strikes Texas coast as levees hold in Rio Grande Valley
Hurricane Dolly hit South Texas with 100 mph winds and heavy rain threatening floods but levees remained intact in Cameron County. The storm caused outages on South Padre Island and left debris and damaged homes, while officials warned the danger was not over as Dolly moved inland toward west-northwest.
