Confederate Flag Lawsuit Dropped in South Carolina

State Attorney General Charlie Condon signed the consent form to dismiss the suit brought by Columbia Mayor Bob Coble and local business leaders seeking the Confederate battle flag removal from the State House. Graniteville Co Sells Large Land Plot to Prutimber

Graniteville Co reports 17 million dollars in land sales to retire debt with a major 10 400 acre parcel north of 120 in Aiken County going to Prutimber. ProTimber, a Prudential Life unit, will manage the timber assets while Graniteville develops a management plan. Graniteville Co. marks 150th anniversary with new dyeing complex

The Graniteville Co. has sold about 11,000 of its 16,000 acres amid county bond funded growth approved by the Aiken County Commission for Higher Education. Garvin bought six acres at Trolley Line Road and the Robert Bell Parkway for 130000. The firm has invested over 150 million dollars in the past five years, boosting competitiveness. In April, Graniteville opened the Kingsmore Indigo Dyeing Complex, described as the most modern facility of its kind.
