Cecil Stephen Haire. 51, of Douglas Georgia, was arrested Friday by Mt. Pleasant Police after a Mt. Pleasant bank robbery. He is suspected of being the Limping Bandit linked to 23 bank robberies across South Carolina Alabama Georgia and Florida dating back years.
A suspect dubbed the Limping Bandit faces charges for 23 bank robberies across Southeast South Carolina from 2007 to 2009. Banks cited include Regions Bank in Summerville and Mt. Pleasant, National Bank of South Carolina in Mt. Pleasant and Summerville, and Security Federal Bank in Aiken. Police linked him to multiple robberies after a witness identified the license plate leaving a Mt. Pleasant bank.
Dr. David Fleming taught himself log cabin building at 21 while a professional fisherman in Tallahassee. He later moved to Aiken in 1999 to play polo, became a licensed chiropractor, then after an injury opened Fleming Furniture on Park Avenue, turning his woodwork passion into a home business.
