Mother facing child cruelty charges in beating
An Aiken woman Wanda Robinson 38 is charged with two counts of cruelty to children after authorities say she whipped her daughter with a cord on two occasions and struck her son with an electrical cord. Daughter reported abuse in 2004 and another incident occurred earlier this year with the son.

Fresco's California Grill and Acropolis Restaurant reported browning out then functioning on gas and candles as patrons stayed, with water and air conditioning out. A separate incident notes a late Tuesday robbery attempt at a Charleston Street home involving a pizza delivery. No one was injured and the house was vacant.
