President Ford will veto a bill that would cap new oil prices at 11.30 a barrel and keep old oil at 5.25 a barrel. The veto, expected today, sets up a further clash with Congress as the House weighs Ford's plan to raise overall oil prices to 13.50 a barrel over 30 months.
AP reports new HEW regulations implement the 1972 education nondiscrimination law by ending sex segregated physical education in schools and banning single sex honorary groups. Legislative attempts to block the guidelines failed recently, though Sen. Jesse Helms announced a new bill to curb them.
Cambodian civilians fleeing toward the Thai border were ambushed by Khmer Rouge forces about 50 miles from the border near Battambang. Witnesses say the assault killed about 300 men women and children. No official confirmation was available.
A 13 nation Latin American document calls for a special OAS meeting this month to lift Cuba sanctions. U S assurances were given that Washington will vote in favor, though the United States did not sign the document.
The Organization of African Unity said French troops and battleships were invading the Comoro islands and surrounding Mayotte. Mayotte had voters choose to stay with France while the other Comoros moved toward independence. Mayotte residents appealed to Paris to remain French.

Aiken City Police have arrested 18 year old Edward Toole of 444 York St for breaking and entering at M & M Supply Co on York Street the York Street Shell Service Station and the Williams and Sheen Realty Agency on Pendleton Street. He faces charges of breaking and entering and grand larceny in two cases and breaking and entering and larceny in the service station break-in.
Space Center Houston reports the Soyuz crew of Alexei Leonov and Valeri Kubasov landed safely in southern central Russia after a two day tandem flight with Apollo astronauts. TV filmed the descent as mission control noted the cosmonauts were in good condition and near the intended landing point. The Apollo crew of Stafford Brand and Slayton remain in orbit to finish earth observations and solar studies, planning a Thursday Pacific splashdown.
The Aiken County Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at 7 30 p m tomorrow in Room 10 at the Educational Center. Agenda items include approval of June 10 minutes status reports by Superintendent T B Willis approval of additional personnel consideration of action by the North Augusta Stadium Committee approval of an agreement with vocational rehabilitation and approval of the lunchroom contract.
