County seeks engineer for Whiskey Road drainage project
Aiken County calls for an engineering firm to design storm water drainage for the Whiskey Road corridor. The effort follows the Whiskey Road Corridor Study and aims to make the one mile stretch safer and more attractive from Boundary Avenue to US Route 278. Estimated costs range from 36.57 to 46.37 million dollars.

SUV Flips After Downtown Aiken Crash
A two vehicle crash Thursday at York Street and Richland Avenue in downtown Aiken left a black SUV flipped onto its side. The southbound truck driver traveling north on York struck the SUV as it traveled down Richland. no serious injuries were reported. Lt. Xarl Grenthal of Aiken Public Safety explained the scene as responders assisted and no hospitalization followed.
