Local events guide outlines sewing lecture and back to school drives
CSR Chapter of the American Sewing Guild hosts a pattern fitting lecture by Anne St. Clair titled Dump the Muslin on August 3 in Cumberland Village Clubhouse. Registration by July 20 costs 27 dollars and includes hors d oeuvres. Also, TCC Wireless Zone will give away 220 backpacks July 23 at 3601 Richland Ave to children, first come, first served. Additional back to school drives follow in Crosland Park on York Street July 29, with donation drop sites at La Rosa Fashions, Luxury Nails, and D vine Creations. The Aiken Newcomers Club meets August 8 at Newberry Hall with 15 dollar admission and timed events. Make-A-Wish South Carolina seeks bilingual volunteers for Aiken and North Augusta regions.
