Boeing ties boost South Carolina at Farnborough Airshow
South Carolina officials said the state’s aerospace push with Boeing opened doors at the Farnborough Airshow near London. Deputy Commerce Secretary George Patrick noted access to decision makers and CEO-level meetings helped position SC for future deals as the Boeing plant in North Charleston expands output. The trip cost about 106 thousand dollars, with no taxpayer funds used for duties beyond working representation.
