BLOTTER: Aiken County deputy actions in Edgewood Drive area
A North Augusta man was arrested Friday after deputies found him jumping a property fence on Edgewood Drive and marijuana in his possession. Deputies attempted to serve warrants Thursday and found a man hiding under a porch on Cherry Street, who appeared intoxicated. A juvenile reported Friday he was assaulted on York Street by three unknown suspects while trying to buy a speaker from another juvenile. Two men were caught shoplifting Thursday on Whiskey Road, with designer bags recovered by loss prevention. Two men were arrested Thursday after a Whiskey Road traffic stop when marijuana was found in the vehicle.

Deputies continue search for Jean Bird Smith an Alzheimer's patient missing since July 13 from Cumbee Trail Road.
