Atlantic Broadband introduces Video on Demand offering in Riker County with full VCR like controls. Digital service customers receive automatic upgrades and can watch thousands of movies anytime with no extra charge. Installation began this week and is expected to finish today.
Atlantic Broadband announces Video on Demand availability in Aiken and nearby towns with thousands of movies including free options from Starz Encore HBO and Showtime. New releases start at 2.99 while NFL RePlay and networks like NBC CNN National Geographic offer free watch-anywhere content.
The Aiken County School Board postpones resuming discussion on a tribunal based disciplinary appeals process until September. A subcommittee and two board members will provide input, with parents retaining appeal rights to the full School Board.
Aiken County deputies with SWAT arrested James E. Frazier 43 and Keith L Gaines 26 at a Jessica Street home after a two week undercover probe. Crack cocaine marijuana and cash were seized and both suspects are in the detention center with prior arrest histories.

Aiken County starts the Solid Green 4-H Club to educate youth on going green. First meeting July 25 at 10 a.m. at the Agricultural Services Center Building 1555 Richland Ave E. The club will focus on litter control recycling and composting and may expand to paint disposal electronics and pesticides. Open to ages 5 to 19 with monthly meetings year round.
