Tilbury Fabrics Seeks Chapter XI Financial Reorganization

Tilbury Fabrics filed for financial reorganization under Chapter XI with the SEC in New York. General manager Bruce Berger said the company is not bankrupt and will continue normal operations. The firm opened a warehouse and distribution center in the Aiken-Verenes Industrial Park in 1974 and would remain debtor in possession while plans to pay debts are developed. Tilbury fabrics are used in bedspreads and draperies. United Merchants and Manufacturing Co. filed a similar claim in 1977-78.
