North Augusta man dies in early morning motorcycle crash
Horace Griffin, 25, of Squirrel Circle Road, North Augusta, died after his borrowed Kawasaki 600 left Five Notch Road at Celeste Avenue. Authorities suspect speed and alcohol. Griffin was not wearing a helmet. The Jackson Drag Strip stop and bike access dispute are noted as part of the preliminary report. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.

Nitrogen spill halts North Augusta traffic after tanker rollover
