St Thaddeus welcomes new rector and celebrations in Aiken
The Vestry and spouses hosted Rev. Robert Shahan and Mary as they accept the St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church rector post and plan a move from Chicago to Aiken with their daughters Sarah and Susannah. The event featured a summer supper and noted community guests. Also highlighted are Juli Craig’s upcoming wedding to Joe Doub, visits by the Craigs’ circle, and a July 4th Highlands retreat for Dr. S. Taylor Garnett and family. The piece closes with the Medlock 50th anniversary reception attended by over 100 guests and greetings from President Reagan.
