Aiken County Marches and Vigils Target Justice and Unity
The Concerned Ministers Fellowship organizes multiple events in Aiken County focusing on what justice looks like. Marches begin at Four Mile Missionary Baptist Church and City Hall in New Ellenton with a 5 p.m gathering and a 6 p.m vigil. Other events include a North Augusta prayer rally at Wade Hampton Veterans Park and a Thursday march from Aiken’s Administrative and Finance Building to the Public Safety Department. Aiken Unity Day Festival on July 23 supports community ties with food, music, speakers, and activities at Perry Memorial Park, led by Brandon Upson of the City’s Citizens Review Board.
