Savannah River Plant officials lowered the estimated cesium-137 released into Four Mile Creek to between 4.5 and 8.1 millicuries after drought-adjusted flow calculations. Du Pont and Department of Energy officials formed a committee to investigate an incident in which a plant employee discharged water from a retention pond into the evaporator output.
