Burglary and theft reports surface across Aiken area
An Aiken woman reported a missing purse and cell phone after leaving a cart at a Richland Avenue store. Another Beech Island resident had a tire slashed at work on University Parkway. Burglary claims include Abbeville and Sumter street homes with electronics and tools stolen. Gas theft at Richland Avenue station involved two women escaping without paying. Shoplifting led to a 35 year old arrest. Vehicle break in on University Parkway. Cash stolen from Reynolds Pond Road after a cigarette stop. Stolen items include two vehicles, ATV, golf cart, electronics, a safe and bonds from several homes. A juvenile reported assault near her home, with limited details given.
