19 Year Old Receives 24 Year Jail Term in Armed Robbery

A 19 year old Columbia youth, Howard L. Brown, sentenced to 24 years in jail after pleading guilty to armed robbery and grand larceny. The term runs concurrently with a prior 26 year sentence for additional armed robbery and rape charges. Brown admitted to robbing a North Augusta convenience store of 1712 dollars and taking 40 dollars from a customer, threatening the cashier, manager, and a customer at gunpoint.
