Christians Overrun Moslem Strongholds Near Tripoli
Christians claim forces overran Moslem strongholds in the Koura region of northern Lebanon and are within grenade throwing distance of Tripoli, Lebanon's largest Moslem city six miles north of Beirut. Four men held up the Savannah River Super Market in Beech Island late Friday. The store manager, a cashier, and several customers were forced to comply as two robbers entered brandishing weapons. They escaped on foot with several thousand dollars. Police believe an escape vehicle was waiting nearby. All four men were described as in their late twenties and did not disguise themselves.
