NCAA to lift South Carolina postseason ban
The NCAA will end a nearly 15 year ban on South Carolina hosting sanctioned championship events after removing the Confederate flag from the state capitol grounds. Governor Nikki Haley signed the legislation and NCAA officials praised lawmakers. The ban applied to events with predetermined host sites while home-team events were exempt. Schulz said bidding to host NCAA tournament events can resume after the flag removal.
