Weekend cooling expected as Aiken braces for heat relief

The National Weather Service expects a cold front from the Tennessee Valley to drop Aiken temperatures toward the normal low 90s this weekend. Forecasters warn of heat index near 102 today with highs around 95 and a 50 percent chance of rain after 10 a.m. Sunday shores up a 20 percent chance of rain with highs in the mid 90s and UV levels rising to 10 16.
